Instagram Sticker Gifs
I get a lot of joy from animated illustration - I love the surprise of the movement and the way animation brings a smile to my face. As a personal project to develop my animation skills I created a few mini gifs for using on Instagram - born out of the frustration of not being able to find the perfect gif when I’m posting a story!
I intend to create a series of 10 to use across Instagram stories and make them available for public use via giphy.
Process
To kick the project off I spent time looking at the stories I’ve posted on instagram and thinking about the kind of gifs I use a lot and look for when I’m posting. I sketched lots of ideas out, then selected which ones to develop first.
I illustrated these by hand with black fineliner, then worked in Illustrator and Photoshop to create colourful animated gifs in my Yellow Tiger brand colours.
